My editing experience has been beneficial for my professional writing and rhetoric experience in many ways. It gave me a chance to read others' writing and consider the ways in which it could be revised. This involved rhetorical thinking in a new manner as I now had to consider a relationship with the writer. My purpose was never to simply edit, but to create better writers.
